The president of the Argentine association participated in a ceremony in the community building where 85 people were killed
The president of the Argentine Football Association, Claudio Tapia, participated on the 18/7/23 in the commemoration ceremony on the 29th anniversary of the 1994 attack on the Jewish community building in Buenos Aires in which 85 people were killed.
As a reminder, Israel's U20 team began its journey in Argentina as part of the U20 world cup by visiting the Israeli Embassy building in Buenos Aires, where 29 people were killed as a result of a car bomb explosion in March 1992. Before returning to Israel, the team held a memorial ceremony in the Jewish community building.
During the team's stay in Argentina, the chairman of the association Shino Zoarz and the minister of culture and sports Miki Zohar met with the president of the Argentine association, Claudio Tapia, and it was agreed that the Argentine national team, the world champion, will play a friendly match against the Israeli national team in Israel in 2024.
