Moshe Zuares elected to the UEFA Executive Committee
Football Association Chairman Shino Zuaretz has elected for the UEFA Executive Committee
A significant achievement for Israeli football: The chairman of the Israel Football Association,
Moshe Shino Zuaretz, was elected to serve as a member of the UEFA Executive Committee.
The elections took place today as part of the UEFA Congress held in Belgrade, Serbia, with the participation of representatives of the various associations from across Europe.
Zuaretz will continue the path of Avi Luzon, who served in this position in 2015, and will represent Israel in the highest decision-making forum of European football. Shino Zuaretz, chairman of the Football Association and member of the UEFA ExecutiveCommittee:"It seemed at first a hopeless move in the current situation, but I believed all along that for the sake of Israeli football, the State of Israel and the Football Association it is necessary to make every effort to reach a position that will
help us greatly. I am the chairman of the Israel Football Association, a proud citizen of the State of Israel and this was my calling card. Without hiding, without apologizing. Prouder than ever.
UEFA has been with us all the way since October 7, protecting us and us in every competition, and its leaders, led by President Alex Safrin, deserve every compliment. I pledge to continue working at all times for our football and there is no doubt that being a member of the UEFA Executive Committee will help us.
I would like to especially thank the association's CEO Niv Goldstein, a dear friend, whose contribution to this success is enormous. Niv was with me all the way, building bridges, a foothold and leaving nothing to chance.
Thank you to everyone who helped, advised, supported and gave the strength for the success of us all."
